Give each person the narrowest role that lets them work.
Invite your team
- Open Settings > Team members > + Invite member.
- Enter their email and choose a role.
- Send invitation. They become a member after accepting the email.

Change roles or remove members from Team members.
Adding someone without email access
Owners can choose Set a temporary password now. Enter the person's sign-in email, role and a temporary password of at least 8 characters. Full name is optional; without it, the account uses the email address instead. Choose Create account and share the password safely. The first time they sign in, they must set a new password. Managers use email invites.
The roles

| Role | Main work |
|---|---|
| Owner | All settings, access and billing; at least one must remain |
| Manager | Daily operations, health, harvests and workers; no billing |
| Worker | Daily figures; expenses only if permitted |
| Finance manager | Sales, expenses, allocation, ledgers and Finance settings |
| Billing admin | Subscription, payment methods and PoultryDesk invoices |
One account can belong to several organizations.
Custom roles
- Open Settings > Roles > + Create role on a plan with custom roles.
- Enter a permanent Role code: 3-40 letters, digits or underscores, starting with a letter. Name is what everyone sees. Add at least one permission.
- + Add description is optional, then save.
Capture sites narrows only flock, health, inventory and feed capture. Leave every Site unchecked for organization-wide capture; other permissions remain organization-wide. Permission changes apply on the next request.
Use the row menu to Edit or Archive a custom role. Reassign active members before archiving. Built-in System roles cannot change.
Two kinds of settings
Settings changes the organization. My account changes your own profile and password.
Protecting sensitive actions
Sensitive changes may need two-step verification and appear in the audit trail. Hiding a button is never the access control.
