For layer farms
Know what each flock lays and eats
Record the daily egg collection against the right Lot, then follow feed, bird counts and production over time. Grade the site's eggs for sale without losing the flock's collection history.
From pullets to egg sales
Place the birds at their actual age
Record the breed, placement date, houses and age of the pullets or hens. Weight samples let you compare growth with a supported breed standard before laying starts.
Collect eggs once, or morning and afternoon
Enter trays, loose eggs and damaged eggs. Review the total before saving. Existing periods stay read-only until you choose a correction and give a reason.
Grade the site's stock
Split the ungraded egg pool into grades in Inventory. Collection reporting stays with each Lot; grading stays at the site because eggs may have been mixed.
Sell at the gate, a shop or wholesale
Record each sale from graded stock, by the tray or the crate, paid by cash or mobile money, or on credit. Short of a grade? Sort for this sale grades and sells in one step. Eggs bought from other farms stay in their own stock.
What your records show
- Hen-day production
- Compare egg production as a percentage of hens alive. The 30-day trend distinguishes days with no capture from days when you recorded zero eggs.
- Feed and flock health
- Keep feed use, mortality and treatments against each Lot. See whether an egg or meat withdrawal is active before stock is sold.
- Egg stock by state
- Review ungraded, graded and withheld eggs at the site. Eggs under withdrawal are kept out of saleable stock.
Before you start
Do I stop recording eggs during a withdrawal?
No. Keep recording production. The flock shows its withdrawal warning and affected eggs stay out of saleable stock. Read about withdrawal periods
Can I record several flocks on a phone?
The Egg round lets you choose one or more Lots and expand each flock's row. Review the entries before confirming, then check whether each capture is saved, queued or rejected. See the egg round steps
Can I also sell eggs I buy from other farms?
Yes, from Grower (Pro). Record the purchase once as an expense in the Goods for resale category, in eggs, trays or crates. It adds the eggs to stock, kept apart from your own, and their cost counts when they are sold, not against your flocks. Selling eggs from your farm
